This month, the Digital Media Productions crew teamed up with the Center for eLearning (CeL) to help produce more than 50 videos for two new online courses in American Sign Language, ASL 1140 and ASL 1150. This was truly a team project.
Final Farewell to All Blackboard Course Content
After the transition to Canvas, then the transition to online everything, it may seem like we’ve been using Canvas for longer than we have. However, the time has finally come for us to say goodbye to the remaining Blackboard courses and remove them from our archives. The removal date of these Blackboard courses will be on August 28th, 2022, at the start of our upcoming Fall term.
Sharing Commencement Around the World
For FSCJ students, faculty, and staff alike, Commencement is the highlight of the academic year. This year, over 1200 students walked across the stage to receive their hard-earned degrees. And while the Vystar Arena was full, not everyone was able to join us in person. Enter the Digital Media Productions team, who live-streamed the entire event to friends and family around the globe.
Windows 11 Update is Now Available
If you are a Windows user and consider yourself an early adopter, the Windows 11 Update is now available within the FSCJ Software Center. Users can choose to update at a time convenient for them or wait until all machines are updated towards the end of the summer term.
Canvas New Feature Release, April 16th
Instructure will perform its monthly release of new features to Canvas on Saturday, April 16th, 2022. This month, we have an exciting changes to our course settings, gradebook, and fun feature addition to our submission comments!

We're Working to Bring You Faster WIFI!
IT is working to bring you faster wireless internet speeds by migrating to WiFi 6. Campus by campus, we are migrating and installing WIFI 6 Wireless Access Points (WAPs) to provide faster connection speeds and a better video conferencing experience. However, even with the upgrades, it’s good to know that a wired connection still provides the best experience for high bandwidth applications.
Multi-Tenant Merge
This project will combine the student and staff tenants in Microsoft to provide new possibilities for collaboration between students and faculty across all Microsoft services.
