Simple Syllabus Updates for Summer 2026
As we prepare for Summer 2026, we are excited to share a few updates to the syllabus designed to improve clarity, consistency, and ease of use for faculty.
Course Learning Outcomes are Auto-Populated!
The Course Learning Outcomes are now automatically pulling into the syllabus from the catalog. This update eliminates the need to copy and paste outcomes from the FSCJ Curriculum site and helps ensure that all syllabi reflect the most current, approved language.
Please Note: if you teach a course that does not have Course Learning Outcomes in the catalog, you can still add them manually. Simply select +Add to create a new component and enter your outcomes.
“Quick Pick” Options for A.I. Statement
You now have the option to select from pre-written policy language or enter your own custom statement for the artificial intelligence (A.I.) stemement. This update provides a cleaner presentation and supports more consistent AI policy communication across courses.
All you need to do is choose from one of the pre-populated options or click on the “Custom Content” to input a policy in your own words. The pre-populated options includes language that strictly prohibits A.I. usage in the class, allows A.I. in limited cases, or generally supports A.I. usage if implemented ethically.
If using the “Custom Content” option, feel free to copy/paste from a former A.I. Statement or write your own.
