Did You Know Canvas Has Hidden Games?

When being navigated to a broken link or experiencing an issue while in canvas, than the words Page Not Found will be shown

If you have ever navigated to a broken link or experienced an internet connection issue while in Canvas, you may have seen a “Page Not Found” screen like the one on the right.

Usually, we hastily navigate away from pages like this, either checking our internet connection or going back to a link we know works. But let’s not be too hasty. Hidden inside pages like this are games that you can play! All you have to do is hit the spacebar.

This picture shows how for one of the games that might appear, instead of shooting aliens or monsters, Covid viruses and seeking out the elusive toilet paper rolls for power-ups are being destroyed

There are two games that might appear. The first is a classic vertical scrolling jet shooter game, but instead of shooting aliens or monsters, you are destroying COVID viruses and seeking out the elusive toilet paper rolls for power-ups (remember those days?)

The second game is a vertical scrolling game where you play as a little blue square trying to make it to the green square at top of the screen without getting hit by incoming gray squares. Think Frogger, but without the amazing graphics of Frogger.

This picture represents the second game in Canvas
