Inside the New Canvas Learner Dashboard: A Faculty Guide to the Student Experience

Canvas has introduced an optional, customizable student dashboard featuring four default widgets for tracking coursework, course cards and grades, announcements, and peer or instructor messaging. Students can toggle between the classic and redesigned layouts at any time, as well as add, delete, and rearrange widgets to match their study workflow. Understanding this student-facing interface allows faculty to guide learners effectively while maintaining their own standard instructor view.
