Announcing, Simple Syllabus as the FSCJ Approved Syllabus Platform

We are very excited to announce the adoption of Simple Syllabus as FSCJ’s improved process for creating, submitting, and sharing course syllabi. Simple Syllabus will replace the FSCJ Online Syllabus Builder, and instructors are required to use Simple Syllabus for all syllabus creation and submission starting with the Spring 2025 term. 

This user-friendly syllabus creation tool is designed to enhance efficiency, instructional consistency, and the overall quality of our educational experience. After a thorough review, Simple Syllabus was selected as the ideal replacement due to its intuitive interface and ability to meet all College and state standards. This decision has received broad support from the Faculty Senate, the Academic Technology Committee, and College administration. Supervisors will also use Simple Syllabus to confirm syllabus submissions, ensuring compliance and consistency.

Getting Started

To begin editing your Spring term syllabus, visit syllabus.fscj.edu and login with your College credentials. You can also access Simple Syllabus via the Course Syllabus link in your Canvas course menu (this link may need to be enabled within Course Settings > Navigation).

Please know that while the committee worked diligently to ensure a smooth rollout, there may be a few areas of the syllabus that need additional adjustments to before it is perfect. If you notice any data discrepancies, missing or incorrect book information, or encounter other issues while working on your syllabus, please submit a ticket at help.fscj.edu. Your feedback will help us continually improve the process.
