AI Goes to College

IT’s Digital Media Productions team is partnering with the AI Advisory Council to produce a new series of podcasts looking at the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on higher ed.

For the first episode, recorded in our TV Studio, host Sarah Stuart spoke with FSCJ professor Audrey Antee and Scott Cason talked about the importance of taking a strategic approach to using AI to enhance – not replace – their roles in teaching and learning. Responding to video clips recorded during student and faculty AI panel discussions, the three talked about how AI has improved their instructional methods and administrative tasks, and the ways they’re using the tool to enhance productivity. They also spoke at length about how important it is to acknowledge student use of AI, and the varying ways in which faculty members should address this use.

The first, two-part AI Goes to College podcasts will be available on Apple, Spotify and other major podcast outlets, as well as on YouTube, in the coming weeks.  More episodes will be released this fall.
