Canvas New Feature Release, June 18th!

Instructure will perform its monthly release of new features to Canvas on Saturday, June 18th, 2022. This is a part of the regular process by which Canvas provides new features to all of its users on the third Saturday of every month, without interrupting access to the system. More information about how Canvas releases work can be found here. This month, we have a big update with browser enforcement while accessing our direct Canvas link. Then we also have some small updates for our equation editor and our syllabus page.

Browser Enforcement for Canvas

There is a new security policy when you use our direct link to FSCJ’s Canvas space (using the link https://canvas.fscj.edu). If you use an unsupported or out-of-date browser, you will receive the following error page.

Icon Display in Syllabus Update

Previously when looking out at our syllabus summary all of our Discussions, Quizzes, and Assignments all had the Assignments icon. This has now been adjusted! In the syllabus summary, you can now view updated icons for assignments, discussions, and quizzes in the Course Summary.
