IT Maintenance - Spring Break

During the weekend before and week of spring break (March 12-20), student email and OneDrive cloud storage will be unavailable while they are being migrated to a new Microsoft Office 365 Tenant.

Although student email services will be unavailable, students can continue to use Canvas Inbox to communicate with instructors and peers, as that will not be impacted during this migration.

When will the migration take place?

The migration is scheduled to begin on March 12 and be completed by March 17.

What services will be unavailable during the migration period?

During the scheduled migration period, students will not be able to access their FSCJ student email account, OneDrive or any Microsoft Cloud Services. However, any emails sent to their account during this time will still be delivered and accessible to them once all services are restored.

Why are we changing?

The migration will provide endless new possibilities for collaboration among students and faculty across all Microsoft services.

What can students expect after the migration is complete?

  • If students only check their student email from a web browser, they will be able to continue to do so once the migration is complete on March 17.

  • If students access their student email from a mobile device or a mail client on their computer, they will need to delete the FSCJ student email account from the device then add it again after March 17.

For instructions on re-adding an FSCJ student email account, view this Knowledge Base article: Student Email Migration

After the migration has been completed, all past emails will be available. If you or your students have any questions or issues during this project, please submit a ticket via help.fscj.edu.
