Virtual Desktop Infrastructure

This project makes classroom software available to instructors and students via a virtual desktop accessible wherever they have the internet.

Virtual Desktop Infrastructure means students can access and use computer software without having to download or install it on their own machines. Check out the video below to learn more about Virtual Desktops and another technology added during the summer of 2022, Webex Classrooms.

  • All staff and enrolled students have access to a basic desktop

  • To access your Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, or VDI, log in with your College credentials at horizon.fscj.edu

  • Software is added to the virtual desktop for students based on course enrollment

  • Request a virtual desktop pool with the software used in your class via this form: forms.office.com/r/9kNxwz6XkQ
